How to Tame and Carry Geckos

Finding Geckos

Geckos spawn in forests and jungles. They wander freely and won't attack you, making them easy to locate. Listen for their sounds or scan the ground near trees and vegetation.

Taming with Beetles

To tame a gecko, you'll need beetles. Find or collect beetles from your world, then approach a gecko with beetles in your hand. Right-click on the gecko to feed it. After successful taming, the gecko will bond with you.

Carrying Your Gecko

Once tamed, your gecko can be carried on your head. This is purely cosmetic and doesn't provide gameplay benefits, but it's a fun way to show off your pet. The gecko will stay with you as you explore.

Tips

Tamed geckos are harmless companions. You can tame multiple geckos if you have enough beetles. They make great decorative pets for your base or adventure buddy.
