Level Up Your First Artifact Item

Understanding the Leveling System

In Reliquified Artifacts, your gear from the Artifacts mod now gains experience and levels just like Relics items. Each artifact tracks its own progression separately, and leveling unlocks stat improvements and new abilities.

How to Start Leveling

1. Equip your artifact in the appropriate slot (accessories go in your accessory slots, tools in hand, etc.)

2. Use the item actively — combat, mining, or ability activation all grant experience depending on the artifact type

3. Open your inventory and look for the artifact in your Relics menu to see the progress bar

4. Watch for level-ups — you'll receive a notification when your item gains a level

5. Check stat improvements by viewing the artifact's description in the Relics UI

Tips for Faster Progression

Different artifacts level through different actions. Combat-focused items like the Everlasting Beef level through dealing damage, while utility items like the Umbrella level through their special abilities. Use your artifacts frequently in situations where they're most useful to maximize experience gain.
