How to Use Charms and the Charm Belt
What Charms Do
Reliquary charms are passive-effect items. When held in your inventory (not necessarily your hotbar), they apply their effect continuously. Examples include the %s Charm (which grants a specific buff) and the Charm Fragment, used to craft charms.
The
Charm Belt
The Charm Belt is a wearable item that holds multiple charms at once. Equip it in a curio/trinket slot (if your modpack uses Curios) or in your inventory. Charms placed inside the belt are active simultaneously, letting you stack several effects without cluttering your hotbar.
Crafting Charms
Charms are crafted from Charm Fragments plus a themed ingredient. For example, a charm tied to a mob or element will require a drop from that mob or a related material. Check JEI/REI for the exact recipe.
Practical Loadouts
- Combat: charm that boosts damage + charm that grants resistance.
- Exploration: charm that grants night vision + charm that grants water breathing.
- Farming: charm that speeds growth + charm that prevents hunger.
Tips
- Charms do not need to be held — just present in your inventory or belt.
- If a charm stops working, check that it has not been moved to a chest or dropped.
- The Charm Belt is the best way to run many charms at once without inventory clutter.
