How Item Safety Works

Unlike regular containers, the Reliable Backpacks Mod ensures your stored items are never lost when the bag is destroyed. All contents are preserved and returned to you.

What Happens When Your Bag Breaks

1. If your backpack is destroyed by any means (fire, explosions, being hit), the bag itself breaks

2. All items stored inside remain safe and drop as individual item entities

3. You can collect these items normally, just as if they'd fallen from a chest

4. No items despawn or vanish

Protection Features

The mod also includes:

• Water floating: If you fall into water while wearing your bag, it floats safely instead of sinking
• Soul Bound preservation: Special enchantments applied to your backpack remain intact through placement and movement
• No nesting: The mod prevents you from placing storage items (like shulker boxes) inside your backpack, avoiding exploits and keeping mechanics straightforward
