How to Craft a Reinforced Shulker Box (All Tiers)

Start With a Reinforced Chest

Reinforced Shulker Boxes are not made from scratch — they are built on top of Reinforced Chests from the Reinforced Chests mod, which this mod depends on. Craft the Reinforced Chest tier you want first (Copper, Iron, Gold, Diamond, or Netherite), then combine it with Shulker Shells at a crafting table to convert it into the matching Shulker Box.

Upgrade Progression

Tiers follow a strict order: Copper → Iron → Gold → Diamond → Netherite. You cannot skip tiers. Each step up increases both the number of storage slots and the box's durability, so a Copper box holds far less than a Diamond one. To upgrade, take your existing Reinforced Shulker Box and combine it with the next tier's Reinforced Chest (or the appropriate upgrade material) in the crafting grid.

The Netherite Step

Netherite is the exception: it is made at a Smithing Table, not a crafting table. Place your Diamond-tier Reinforced Shulker Box in the smithing slot and add a Netherite Ingot plus the required template/upgrade item. The result is a Netherite Reinforced Shulker Box that resists explosions, fire, and lava — the only tier with those protections. If a recipe refuses to combine, double-check you are using the correct tier chest and not a lower one.
