Making Reimagined GUI Easier on the Eyes During Long Sessions
The point of a dark GUI is comfort over long play, but a few settings multiply the benefit. These tweaks pair well with the pack and cost nothing.
Tune Brightness and Gamma
1. Open Options → Video Settings.
2. Lower Brightness a notch or two so the world itself is less glaring against the dark menus.
3. If your monitor has a night mode or low blue light setting, enable it — the dark GUI already reduces glare, and this compounds it.
Reduce UI Clutter
A dark interface hides less, so busy screens feel calmer. In Options → Chat Settings, shrink chat scale and background opacity so text sits cleanly on the dark panels. In Accessibility Settings, turn off any high-contrast or flashing options that clash with the theme.
Match Your HUD
If you use a separate HUD or minimap pack, check that its colors don't clash with the dark GUI. Neutral or muted HUD palettes blend best. Avoid bright white HUD text on dark panels — it reintroduces the glare you switched away from.
Take Breaks Anyway
A dark theme reduces strain but doesn't replace good habits. Step away periodically; the pack makes sessions comfortable, not endless.
