Keeping a Minimum Stock of Items With the Requester
One of the most useful things this mod does is let you say "always keep at least X of this item on hand" and forget about it. Here is how to set that up cleanly.
Choosing What to Track
Decide on the items you constantly run out of — common crafting intermediates, building blocks, fuel, food. For each one, place or reuse a
Requester and put that item in its tracking slot. You generally want one Requester per tracked item so each order is independent.
Setting the Target Amount
Enter the quantity you want maintained. The Requester will only request the shortfall, so if you already have some in storage it will not over-craft. This matters for expensive items: set the target to what you actually use, not a huge number, so you do not drain your resources into a stockpile you never touch.
Managing Multiple Requesters
If you track many items, label or organize your Requesters so you can find them later. Keep an eye on your crafting queue — several Requesters can all fire at once after a big crafting session consumes many tracked items. If your network gets overwhelmed, raise targets gradually or stagger which items you automate first.
