How to Use the Crafting Emitter to Trigger Requests Automatically
The
Crafting Emitter is the piece that turns the
Requester's intent into an actual crafting job on your network. If requests are not firing, the Emitter is usually where the problem is.
What the Emitter Does
Think of the Requester as the "what and how many" and the Crafting Emitter as the "go." The Emitter watches for the condition the Requester sets and, when met, pushes a crafting request into the network. Place it so it is connected to the same network as your Requester and your crafters.
Wiring It Into Your Setup
Connect the Crafting Emitter to your network with cables or by placing it adjacent to a networked block. Open its interface and point it at the Requester's order — in most setups the Emitter is configured to respond to the Requester rather than acting on its own. Make sure the Emitter has a valid path to your Crafting Grid or Crafting Monitor so the request has somewhere to land.
Common Fixes
If jobs never start: confirm the Emitter and Requester share a network, confirm the Emitter is enabled, and confirm patterns exist for the requested item. A missing pattern is the most frequent cause of a silent Emitter — the request is made but nothing can fulfill it.
