Reading Redstone Component Directions at a Glance
Identify Direction Arrows on Redstone Blocks
Observers, droppers, dispensers, and hoppers now display clear directional arrows on their faces. These arrows point in the direction the block will interact with or output to, eliminating guesswork when building redstone contraptions.
How to Use Directional Indicators
1. Look at any observer, dropper, dispenser, or hopper in your world
2. The arrow on the block's face shows which direction it faces
3. For observers: the arrow points toward the block it monitors
4. For droppers and dispensers: the arrow shows where items or signals will go
5. For hoppers: the arrow indicates the output direction
Quick Redstone Debugging
When your redstone isn't working as expected, check the directional arrows first. Misaligned components are a common cause of contraption failures. The visual indicators let you verify orientation without placing test blocks or consulting coordinates. This is especially helpful when building compact redstone in tight spaces where rotation mistakes are easy to make.
