How to Enable Semi-Automatic Recasting with the Recast Mod

The Recast Mod doesn't add a new item or a toggle menu — it changes how your existing fishing rod behaves. There's nothing to craft or configure before it works. Once the mod is loaded, any vanilla fishing rod you use will automatically recast after a successful catch.

Steps to Use It

1. Craft or obtain a normal fishing rod as you always would.

2. Stand near water and right-click to cast your line manually. This first cast is always up to you — the mod never casts for you from idle.

3. When the bobber dips and you reel in a fish or item, the mod immediately casts the line back out for you.

4. Keep watching the bobber. You only need to react to bites; you don't need to click to recast between catches.

What to Expect

Because the recast happens automatically, your line stays in the water almost continuously while you're actively fishing. This is what makes the mod feel semi-automatic rather than fully automatic — the hooking action is still yours, but the repetitive recasting loop is handled for you. If you want to stop fishing entirely, right-click without a bite pending and the rod will behave normally, reeling in and stopping.
