How to Build a Decorative Floor With Re Chiseled Patterns

Picking Floor-Friendly Patterns

Flooring, Tiles, Squares, Mosaic, and Brick Paving patterns read best underfoot because they repeat cleanly across large areas. Acacia Plank Flooring and Acacia Plank Tiles work well for wooden interiors, while Andesite Paving, Andesite Squares, and Andesite Brick Paving suit stone corridors and courtyards.

Laying Out the Floor

1. Decide on a base pattern and chisel a batch of blocks into it.

2. Lay the pattern across your floor area, keeping an eye on how the texture tiles at the edges.

3. Add a border using a contrasting pattern — for example, surround Andesite Squares with Andesite Bricks.

4. Use the matching slab variant to create sunken or raised sections without changing the pattern.

Adding Depth

Alternate two related patterns in a checkerboard or stripe to suggest wear or inlay. A single row of Amethyst Tiles set into an Andesite floor makes a striking accent line. Because slabs are half-height, you can recess an accent strip slightly below the main floor for a subtle inlaid effect.
