Create a Trap Room with Bear Traps and Falling Vases
Setting Up Your Trap Network
Bear traps and falling vases are your primary trap mechanisms. Place bear traps on the floor in high-traffic areas—doorways, hallways, and room centers work well. Position falling vases on shelves or elevated surfaces above where players will walk.
How Traps Reveal Players
When a player triggers either trap type, they'll begin glowing, making them instantly visible to you and other hunters. This is especially effective in dark rooms or when combined with multiple traps.
Designing an Effective Trap Room
- Layer traps strategically: place bear traps leading to a doorway, then position falling vases above that doorway
- Use furniture like boxes and cupboards to create false paths that lead to trap clusters
- Combine traps with custom sounds (creaking floors, working TVs) to mask the sound of players approaching
- Leave one "safe" path through your trap room so the game remains fair and playable
Test your trap layout with friends before finalizing your adventure map to ensure it's challenging but not impossible to navigate.
