Make leaves decay faster or slower

Locate the configuration file

The mod's settings are stored in a single configuration file. Navigate to your world folder, then open serverconfig/rapid_leaf_decay-server.toml in a text editor (Notepad, VS Code, or any plain text editor works).

Adjust decay speed

Inside the file, you'll find options to control how quickly leaves disappear after you chop down a tree's logs. The default settings enable rapid decay with minimal delay—leaves vanish almost instantly or within a few seconds.

To make decay slower, increase the delay value. To make it faster, decrease it. Save the file after making changes.

Apply changes

If playing on a server, restart the server for changes to take effect. In single-player, you may need to reload your world or restart the game. The mod will read the updated configuration on next load.

Default behavior

If you don't edit the config file, the mod uses its default rapid decay setting—no action needed. Only customize if you want different behavior than the standard fast decay.
