How to Get a Rainbow Cycling Sheep (jeb_ Easter Egg)

The mod keeps the vanilla jeb_ Easter egg working: a sheep named jeb_ cycles its fleece through all wool colors instead of holding one color. This is useful for decoration, color displays, or just showing off.

Naming a Sheep jeb_

1. Craft or obtain a name tag.

2. Use an anvil to rename the name tag to exactly jeb_ — all lowercase, with the underscore. Capitalization or a missing underscore will not trigger the effect.

3. Right-click a sheep with the renamed name tag to apply it.

The sheep now continuously shifts through the full color range. Note that the cycling is purely visual: when you shear the sheep, the wool you get is its actual underlying color, not the color it happens to be displaying at that moment.

Combining With the Random Colors

Because the mod only changes the color a sheep spawns with, a jeb_ sheep behaves the same as in vanilla regardless of what color it started as. If you want a pen of cycling sheep, name each one individually — the effect is per-sheep, not per-pen. To stop the cycling, you cannot remove a name tag, so plan ahead or use a fresh sheep if you change your mind.
