How to Farm Specific Flowers Reliably

Narrowing the Pool

Because the mod rolls from every non-blacklisted flower, getting one specific type by chance can take a while. The trick is to blacklist everything you don't want so the pool contains only your target flower (or a small set).

Steps

1. Decide which flower you need, for example a specific dye source or a decorative bloom.

2. Open blacklist.txt in the mod's config folder.

3. Add every other flower's registry name with a leading !, leaving your target flower unmarked. If you only want two or three flowers, blacklist the rest.

4. Save and reload the game so the blacklist applies.

5. Prepare a flat grass area and apply bone meal repeatedly. With a tiny pool, your target should appear quickly.

6. Harvest and replant or just keep applying bone meal for bulk.

Practical Notes

  • Keep a backup of the original blacklist so you can restore the full pool later.
  • Registry names matter. If you guess wrong, the entry is ignored and that flower keeps spawning, which is a good signal your spelling is off.
  • For dye farming, target the flowers that craft into the dye color you need, then process them at a crafting grid.
  • This method works for modded flowers too, as long as you use their correct namespaced IDs.
