Use Rain Shield with other weather mods

Compatibility with weather systems

The Rain Shield only affects rain *rendering*—it stops you from seeing rain visually. The underlying weather system continues normally. This means:

  • Crops still grow during rain
  • Mobs still spawn in rain conditions
  • Water still flows and behaves normally
  • Other mods' weather effects may or may not be blocked depending on how they're implemented

Combining with other mods

If you're using mods that add custom weather, storms, or atmospheric effects, test whether the Rain Shield affects them. Some custom weather systems may render independently of vanilla rain, so they might not be blocked. Check the mod's documentation or test in-game to confirm.

Redstone integration

Since the Rain Shield responds to redstone signals, you can integrate it with other mods' redstone systems, automation mods, or logic gates for advanced control over when rain rendering is active.
