Using the Infusion Pylon and Potion Filter for Area Effects

Placing the Infusion Pylon

The Infusion Pylon applies effects to entities within its working area. Place it where the affected entities will actually be, such as near a farm, a mob pen, or a crafting area, and confirm the radius in its interface. Because it affects entities in range, position matters more than with passive pylons: if the pylon is too far from what you want to affect, nothing happens, and if it is too close to things you want untouched, you will get unwanted effects.

Controlling Targets with the Potion Filter

The Potion Filter lets you decide which effects the pylon applies and, combined with the other filters, which entities receive them. Insert the filter and set it up so only the effects you want are active. If you are infusing a specific group, use the Mob Filter or Player Filter alongside it so the pylon does not affect everything in range indiscriminately. This is the key step for keeping an infusion setup from becoming chaotic.

Verifying It Works

Stand inside the radius and watch for the effect to appear on your status display, or observe the affected mobs directly. If nothing happens, check three things in order: the pylon's radius, whether the correct filter is inserted, and whether the pylon is powered or enabled. Once confirmed, expand the setup by adding storage or routing for any items the process produces.
