Running Redstone Wire Up Walls and Around Corners

Basic Wire Placement

Redstone wire in Project Red can be placed on vertical surfaces and around corners, unlike vanilla redstone dust. Place wire directly on walls, ceilings, or any block face. The wire will automatically connect to adjacent wire segments and compatible components.

Creating Multi-Directional Circuits

Wire flows seamlessly around corners without requiring repeaters or workarounds. Simply place wire segments along your desired path—horizontally, vertically, or diagonally across block faces. The wire maintains signal strength as it travels, making it ideal for compact builds.

Connecting to Components

Wire connects automatically to:

  • Logic gates (AND, OR, NOT, XOR, etc.)
  • Bundled cables for multi-channel transmission
  • Redstone devices like pistons and lamps
  • Other wire segments in adjacent blocks

If a connection isn't forming, ensure the wire endpoint is directly adjacent to the target component's input or output face. You can place multiple wire types in the same block space using CB Multipart integration, allowing complex circuits in minimal space.

Signal Strength

Wire transmits full signal strength without degradation over distance, eliminating the need for repeaters in long runs. This makes Project Red wiring far more space-efficient than vanilla redstone for extended circuits.
