Dodge and Counter Big Kong's Attack Patterns
Recognize the Basic Attacks
The boss uses heavy punches, hammer swings, and fast two-hit combos as its primary offense. These attacks have a wind-up animation—watch for the boss to rear back or raise its arms. When you see the wind-up, move sideways or backward to create distance.
Handle Special Moves
The knockback kick pushes you away violently, so don't get cornered. The dash strike closes distance quickly—sprint perpendicular to the boss's charge rather than running straight away. The heavy hammerslam creates a shockwave; jump to avoid the impact wave.
Manage the Shockwave Slam
The two-handed shockwave slam hits from a distance. When the boss raises both arms overhead, sprint away or jump repeatedly to escape the shockwave radius.
Use the Debris Jump to Your Advantage
When the boss jumps back and throws debris blocks, use this brief window to close in and attack. The boss is less mobile during this move, making it an opening for damage.
Stay Mobile
Keep moving constantly. Standing still makes you vulnerable to combos and special moves. Circle the boss and attack between its moves rather than trading blows directly.
