Obtain Rose Gear as an Iron Alternative

Mining Rose Ore in the Nether

Rose gear offers a Nether-based alternative to iron progression. Rose ore is exclusive to the Nether and generates at various heights. Mine it with an iron pickaxe or better to collect raw rose ore.

Smelting and Crafting

Smelt raw rose ore in a furnace to produce rose ingots. These ingots craft into tools and armor using standard crafting recipes—they perform similarly to iron gear but require Nether exploration instead of deep mining.

Upgrading to Rose Gear

If you already have iron tools, you can upgrade them to rose gear using a smithing table:

1. Place your iron tool in the left slot

2. Add a rose upgrade template in the middle slot

3. Place a rose ingot in the right slot

This allows flexible progression—you can pursue rose gear early by venturing into the Nether, or stick with the traditional stone → copper → iron path. Rose gear serves as a valid alternative rather than a strict upgrade requirement.
