Identifying Fruit and Nut Bearing Trees

Not all trees in Productive Trees produce wood alone—some species bear fruits or nuts as secondary resources. These trees are typically identifiable by their appearance or by checking the mod's tree registry. Plant these species in your farm and allow them to reach full maturity.

Harvesting Fruit and Nuts

Mature fruit and nut trees will produce harvestable items when fully grown. Right-click or break the fruit blocks that appear on the tree to collect them. These resources don't damage the tree—you can harvest repeatedly from the same mature tree.

Breeding Fruit Trees

Cross-pollinate fruit-bearing trees to create hybrids with improved yields or new fruit types. Some hybrid combinations may produce trees that bear multiple fruit varieties or larger quantities per harvest. Experiment with different parent species to discover which crosses give the best results.
