Maximizing Visibility in Low-Light Mining
Understanding Outline Brightness
Pristine Vein Deposits uses bright, contrasting colors for each ore type—cyan for diamonds, red for redstone, blue for lapis, and so on. These outlines are designed to be visible in complete darkness, but their effectiveness depends on your game settings and lighting conditions.
Optimize Your Mining Setup
Reduce ambient occlusion or adjust your brightness settings if outlines appear dim. The pack works best with Minecraft's default lighting; extreme darkness mods may reduce visibility. If you use a shader pack, enable glow or bloom effects to make borders luminous.
Lighting Placement
While the outlines work in darkness, placing torches every 8-12 blocks improves overall visibility and helps you navigate safely. The combination of torch light and ore outlines creates an ideal mining environment where you spot resources quickly and avoid hazards.
Testing Visibility
If you're unsure whether an outline is visible, move to a darker area of your mine and look for the colored borders on nearby stone walls. Adjust your monitor brightness or gamma settings if needed—the outlines should be immediately obvious once you know what to look for.
