Set Up Your First Ore Multiplication Line
Gather Materials and Build
Start by collecting raw ores from mining. You'll need copper ingots to power your automation, so mine copper ore and smelt it first. Craft or find a
Grinder Block and place it near your ore storage.
Process Ores into Dust
Feed raw ore into the Grinder Block's input slot. The block will automatically crush it into ore dust. Collect the dust from the output slot. For higher yields, consider upgrading to a
Netherite Grinder once you have access to netherite materials—it processes faster and handles four input/output slots simultaneously.
Convert Dust to Ingots
Smelt the ore dust in a furnace to create ingots. This two-step process (ore → dust → ingot) multiplies your yield compared to smelting raw ore directly. The more ores you process, the more ingots you'll gain from the same mining effort.
Expand Your Operation
Once comfortable, build multiple Grinder Blocks in parallel to process different ore types at once. Store copper nearby to keep your grinders running smoothly.
