How to Ride and Control a Tamed Dinosaur

Saddling Your Dinosaur

Once your dinosaur is tamed, you can equip a saddle to ride it. Place the saddle on the dinosaur's back through its inventory or by right-clicking with a saddle in hand.

Mounting and Movement

Right-click your saddled dinosaur to mount it. Use standard movement controls (WASD) to direct your dinosaur across terrain. Different dinosaur species have different speeds and movement styles—some are faster runners, while others are built for climbing or swimming.

Special Abilities

Each dinosaur type has unique abilities you can use while riding. These might include charging attacks, jumping higher than normal, or traversing difficult terrain. Check your dinosaur's specific traits to learn what it can do.

Dismounting

Press your sneak key (default Shift) to dismount safely. Your dinosaur will remain where you left it and won't wander far if tamed.

Combat Advantages

Riding a dinosaur gives you mobility and height advantage in combat. Use your mount's speed and abilities to outmaneuver threats.
