Where Frostbitten Zombies Appear

Frostbitten zombies naturally spawn in snowy biomes, mountain peaks, and frozen underground caverns. They're particularly common in powdered snow areas. You can also create them artificially by trapping standard zombies in powdered snow and waiting for the transformation to occur.

Essential Preparation

Bring fire resistance potions or wear enchanted armor with protection to reduce freeze damage. Frostbitten zombies throw snowballs before closing in for melee attacks, so expect ranged harassment followed by close combat.

Fire-based weapons are especially effective against these icy mobs. Bring a bow with flame arrows or use a fire aspect sword to maximize damage output.

Combat Tactics

Keep moving to avoid snowball volleys. The freeze effect from their attacks can leave you vulnerable, so maintain distance when possible. Attack from elevated positions to force them to climb while you rain projectiles down. Bring healing potions as backup—their combined ranged and melee assault can overwhelm unprepared players quickly.
