Organize and Merge Item Stacks with the Sort Button

What the Sort Button Does

The Sort button, located in the chest interface toolbar, performs two actions automatically:

1. Merges partial stacks of the same item into full stacks

2. Arranges all items alphabetically by name

Using Sort Effectively

1. Open your chest

2. Click the Sort button in the toolbar

3. Watch as items reorganize and consolidate

This is particularly useful after mining sessions or when your chest has accumulated items from multiple sources with fragmented stacks.

When to Sort

Use Sort when:

• You've just finished mining and have many partial stacks
• You want to quickly locate items alphabetically
• You need to free up inventory slots by consolidating stacks
• You're preparing to transfer items to another storage system

Combining with Search

After sorting, use the search bar to verify all instances of a particular item are consolidated. This workflow keeps your storage organized and makes inventory management much faster than manual sorting.
