Automatically Collect Dropped Items with the Magnet Feature

Understanding the Magnet Radius

Starting from Iron tier chests, your storage automatically pulls nearby dropped items into inventory. Each tier has a different magnet radius:

  • Iron: 2 blocks
  • Gold: 3 blocks
  • Diamond: 4 blocks
  • Netherite: 6 blocks

How It Works

When items are dropped or ejected within the magnet radius of your chest, they're automatically sucked inside without any action needed. This happens whether the chest is open or closed.

Practical Uses

Place your chest near a mob grinder, farm, or mining operation to automatically collect drops. The magnet feature works especially well with hoppers and other item-ejecting blocks—items flowing out will be captured by the chest if it's close enough.

Upgrading for Larger Coverage

If your current setup requires collecting items from farther away, consider upgrading to a higher tier. A Netherite chest's 6-block radius covers significantly more area than Iron's 2 blocks, making it ideal for large-scale farms.
