Choosing Your Quarry

Pragmatic Apparatus offers two main automated mining machines: the Quantum Quarry and the Ender Quarry. Both require power and can be upgraded with modules to improve speed, efficiency, or resource output. Start with whichever fits your current power generation capacity.

Power and Setup

Quarries consume Forge Energy (FE), so build a generator first—the mod includes 16 different options ranging from simple to complex. Connect your generator to the quarry using FE cables or conduits.

Place your quarry on the ground and define the mining area. Most quarries allow you to set boundaries or will mine in a default radius. Install upgrade modules into the quarry's upgrade slots to customize behavior—speed upgrades mine faster, while fortune-style upgrades improve drops.

Collection and Output

Attach a Transfer Node to the quarry's output face to automatically pull mined blocks into a storage system. Connect this node to Filing Cabinets, Drums, or chests using item pipes. Set up a Retrieval Node on your storage if you want to pull specific items back out later.

Monitor your power supply—if it runs dry, the quarry stops. Consider building multiple generators or upgrading to a more powerful model as your operation expands.
