Set Up a Burnt Paper Creeper Trap

Creating the Trap

Burnt paper blocks attract creepers from long distances and can be used as a mob farm or defense mechanism. To create one:

1. Craft or obtain a paper block

2. Place it on the ground where you want the trap

3. Set it on fire using flint and steel, a flame source, or lava

4. The paper will transform into a burnt paper block with dark smoke particles

How It Works

Once active, the burnt paper block emits a signal that draws creepers toward it from far away. This makes it useful for:

• Concentrating creepers in one location for mob farming
• Creating a distraction away from your base
• Testing creeper behavior in controlled environments

Important Notes

The burnt paper block is fragile—it will shatter instantly if a player steps on it, so avoid walking directly over it. You cannot pick up the burnt paper block itself; it only exists as a placed trap. If you need to remove it, break nearby blocks to clear the area and let the trap expire naturally, or use it until it's no longer needed.
