Choosing the Right Performance Setting for Your Computer
Check Your Current Framerate
Before switching settings, launch Minecraft and load a world with the pack active. Press F3 (or Fn+F3 on Mac) to see your framerate. If you're consistently below 60 FPS, you may need a lower setting.
Selecting Your Performance Tier
Low setting is ideal if you have an older graphics card, limited RAM, or play on a laptop. This removes the most detailed 3D geometry while keeping the vanilla aesthetic.
Medium setting works well for most modern computers and provides a good balance between visual quality and smooth gameplay. Most blocks and animals will show 3D detail without heavy performance cost.
High setting requires a dedicated graphics card and at least 8GB RAM. Use this if you want full 3D detail on all supported blocks, items, and mobs.
Applying Changes
Access the resource pack settings through your launcher's resource pack menu. Select your preferred tier and reload the world. Test your framerate again after switching—you may need to adjust if performance doesn't meet your needs.
