Paint Detailed Pixel Art on Block Surfaces
Getting Started with Painting
Equip a
paintbrush from your inventory and approach any solid block surface. Right-click the block face where you want to paint. The surface will become your
canvas—you can paint on all six sides of a block independently.
Drawing Techniques
For single pixels, right-click once on the surface. To draw continuous lines, hold right-click and drag your cursor across the block. The paintbrush will follow your mouse movement, laying down pixels smoothly.
Press R while aiming at any painted or unpainted block to sample its exact color. This is useful for matching colors across your artwork or pulling colors from the environment.
Adjusting Your Brush
Right-click the air (not a block) while holding your paintbrush to open brush settings. Here you can adjust:
- Brush size – control how many pixels wide your strokes are
- Feathering – soften the edges of your brush for blended effects
- Drawing speed – control how fast pixels are placed
Experiment with different settings to achieve fine detail or broader strokes depending on your artistic needs.
