How to Stop Pickup Notifications From Spamming Your Screen

Why the Spam Happens

When you mine, farm, or sweep through a mob drop pile, you pick up many items in quick succession. Each pickup triggers its own popup, so the stack can grow fast and cover a large part of your view. The mod is intentionally minimal, so the fix is about controlling how many popups show and how long they linger rather than filtering by item type.

Reducing the Clutter

Open the mod's config file in your instance's config folder. Look for settings that control how many notifications can be displayed at once and how long each one stays on screen. Lowering the maximum number of simultaneous popups and shortening the display duration keeps the stack short and lets older entries fade before new ones pile up. Save the file and reload.

Practical Habits

If you still find it busy during heavy farming or mining sessions, position the stack in a corner you rarely look at, and keep the offset tight so it hugs the edge. For XP orbs specifically, expect a popup for each orb you collect; standing still to let orbs merge before walking over them reduces the number of individual triggers. These small adjustments keep the feature useful without it dominating your HUD.
