Build a Clear Glass Wall or Window
Plan Your Structure
Decide the dimensions of your wall or window. Connected
glass works best when blocks are placed in continuous rows and columns.
- Sketch out your design (width and height)
- Consider the viewing angle—larger panes look more impressive from certain perspectives
- Plan around door frames or other architectural features
Place Glass Blocks in a Grid
Build your wall by placing glass blocks side by side and stacked vertically:
- Start at one corner and place blocks horizontally to form the first row
- Stack additional rows upward
- Ensure every block touches at least one neighbor for seamless connection
- All adjacent glass blocks will automatically merge into one transparent surface
Add Frames or Details
For a polished look, frame your glass wall:
- Use wood, stone, or metal blocks around the edges
- Leave the interior completely filled with glass for maximum clarity
- Add decorative elements like pillars or trim between large panes if desired
- Different glass colors (stained or tinted) will still connect if placed adjacent to each other
