Using Particle Effects to Spot Invisible or Glowing Players in PvP

What the mod changes for PvP

Invisibility and glowing both produce particles, and this mod gives each a unique texture. That means an invisible player is not truly invisible to a trained eye, because their effect particles still render.

Spotting an invisible opponent

Watch for the specific invisibility particle texture drifting where no player model appears. It tends to appear around the torso and head area. Sweep your crosshair slowly across open ground, doorways, and corners rather than staring at one spot. The particles are subtle, so lower your FOV slightly and avoid standing in your own particle cloud, which can mask theirs.

Reading glowing

Glowing outlines are obvious, but the particle texture confirms the effect is still active. If the particles stop, the glow has expired and you can reposition.

Practical drills

1. Have a friend drink an invisibility potion in a flat arena and try to track them by particles alone.

2. Repeat with glowing to learn the difference between the two textures.

3. Practise while you also have effects running, so you learn to separate your own particles from your opponent's.

Remember the mod is visual only, so it gives no mechanical advantage beyond what you can see.
