The Primal Pits biome is a dark, tar-filled landscape populated by undead prehistoric creatures. Bring a shovel to clear Suspicious tar blocks—these reward you with hidden treasures when excavated. Collect amber dropped by monsters and found in tar deposits to customize your armor with Primal Armor Trim.

Reaping willows grow throughout the biome and provide logs for crafting building planks. Watch for Bog Bodies that throw peat balls, Direbeasts that hunt in packs at night (led by stronger Sabretooths), and Taraouchs that emerge after sunset with powerful melee attacks. Most dangerous are Necrosloths, which hide underground as minibosses and attack when disturbed. Gather decorative relics from tar deposits to bring home as trophies.
