Using Outlined Ores with Shader Packs

Combining Two Visual Enhancements

Outstanding Outlined Ores works alongside shader packs without conflicts. Shaders add realistic lighting, shadows, and glow effects, while the resource pack adds clear borders to every ore block. Together, they make ores both beautiful and easy to find.

Setup Steps

1. Load your shader pack first in your graphics settings

2. Activate Outstanding Outlined Ores as your active resource pack (it should appear in your resource pack list)

3. Ensure the resource pack is above the shader in load order if your launcher allows priority sorting

4. Launch the game and test in a cave or mining area

5. Adjust shader brightness if ore outlines feel too dim or washed out under shader lighting

What to Expect

When combined with shaders, ore outlines will glow subtly in dark caves, creating a soft halo effect around each block. This makes ores visible from greater distances without looking unnatural. The original ore textures remain unchanged — only the borders are enhanced by the shader's lighting system.
