Recognizing Each Ore

The Outlined Ores Resource Pack enhances visibility by outlining ore blocks, but each ore type retains its original texture. This means you can identify what you're looking at by combining the outline with the ore's base appearance.

How to Tell Ores Apart

1. Look at the base texture first — The ore's core color and pattern remain unchanged (iron ore looks like iron ore, diamond ore looks like diamond ore).

2. Use the outline as a highlight — The outline simply makes the ore pop visually, drawing your attention to it.

3. Mine with confidence — Once you spot an outlined ore, you already know what it is from the texture alone.

Practical Application

When exploring caves or mining tunnels, scan for the outlined blocks. The combination of the ore's natural appearance plus the striking outline makes identification instant. This is especially helpful when you're moving quickly through terrain and need to decide whether to stop and mine or keep moving.

The pack doesn't change ore colors or add labels—it simply makes existing ores more visible.
