How to Tell Which Song Plays for Wild vs Trainer Battles

The pack splits its soundtrack by encounter type, so the same fight can sound completely different depending on who you are battling. Here is how to predict and recognize each case.

Wild Encounters

When a wild Cobblemon initiates a battle, the pack pulls from its wild battle theme pool. These are the shorter, loopable encounter tunes associated with roaming creatures. If you want to hear a specific generation's wild theme, you cannot pick it in-game, but you can note which track plays and match it to the region it comes from.

Trainer Battles

Talking to or being challenged by a trainer switches the pack to its trainer battle pool. These tracks are typically longer and more dramatic than wild themes, matching the trainer fight feel from the main games. Gym-style or named trainers may still use the same trainer pool unless another mod adds its own overrides.

Why the Split Matters

Because the pack keys off encounter type, a silent wild fight but a loud trainer fight usually means only one category is loading. Test each type separately when troubleshooting, and remember that other sound mods can override one category without touching the other.
