How to Make Battle Music Louder Without Blowing Out Other Sounds

If battle themes feel too quiet against footsteps, mobs, and UI clicks, you can rebalance your audio instead of editing the pack.

Use the Music Slider First

Open Options > Music & Sound and raise the Music slider. Battle tracks route through the music channel, so this is the cleanest way to boost them. Lower the Master or Ambient sliders slightly if the mix gets harsh, keeping overall loudness comfortable.

Separate Battle Audio From Exploration Audio

If you want loud fights but quiet exploring, note that this pack only adds battle music, so vanilla exploration music still uses the same Music slider. You cannot split them with the vanilla menu alone. Some audio mods add per-category sliders; if you run one, route battle music to its own category and push that up while pulling exploration music down.

Avoid Clipping

Pushing Music to maximum alongside a high Master slider can distort louder tracks. Raise Music in small steps and test a wild fight and a trainer fight, since the two pools have different mastering levels. Stop before you hear crackling or clipping. If one category is still too quiet after balancing, that is a limitation of the source track, not a setting you can fix in-game.
