How to Fix Music That Overlaps or Cuts Out Mid-Battle

Overlapping tracks or music that stops halfway through a fight usually means two sound sources are competing. Use this checklist to isolate the cause.

Rule Out Conflicting Packs

Disable every other music or sound resource pack, then reload and start a battle. If the overlap disappears, re-enable packs one at a time until it returns. The last pack you enabled is the one fighting this pack for the same sound events. Keep this pack above it or remove the other pack.

Check for Modded Sound Events

Some mods add their own battle stingers, victory jingles, or ambient loops. These can layer on top of the pack's music. Temporarily lower or disable those mods' audio options if they expose one, and see whether the battle track plays cleanly on its own.

Verify the Track Is Not Being Interrupted

Music cutting out mid-battle can also happen if the battle ends and restarts quickly, such as when a Cobblemon flees or you switch targets. Each new encounter restarts the theme, so rapid re-encounters sound like choppy audio. Fight a single wild Cobblemon to completion and confirm the track plays through before assuming the pack is broken.
