How to Stop Vein Mining from Causing Lag
Why Lag Happens
When you break one ore while sneaking, the mod instantly scans for and removes every connected ore block. On a very large vein, that is a lot of block updates and item drops in a single tick, which can stutter low-end systems.
Steps to Reduce It
1. Mine large veins in sections. Instead of crouch-breaking the center of a huge cluster, break an edge block first so fewer ores are connected at once.
2. Avoid vein mining while other heavy processes run, such as large mob farms, redstone contraptions, or chunk loading from fast travel.
3. If you are on a low-end machine, do not sneak-mine in tight cave systems where several veins sit close together. The combined drops and updates stack up.
4. Clear your inventory space beforehand so dropped items do not pile up and despawn awkwardly.
5. If a particular vein is enormous, break a few blocks normally to split it, then crouch-mine the smaller remaining sections.
You do not need to disable the feature. Just break big clusters into smaller chunks and mine them one at a time.
