How to Get and Use the Orbital Strike Cannon Rod

The Orbital Strike Cannon is activated through a special fishing rod rather than a block you place. Once you have the rod in hand, you don't need to aim at water — the rod is a targeting tool, not a fishing tool.

Activating the cannon

Hold the rod and right-click to cast. Wherever the bobber lands becomes your target point. The mod reads your look direction, so the strike comes down exactly where you are aiming rather than at your feet. Left-click or reel in to cancel a cast if you change your mind.

Choosing your charge mode

Before casting, cycle through the available charge modes. The mod supports multiple modes, including a stab charge for a precision blast and a nuke charge for a cinematic large-scale detonation. Switch modes until the one you want is selected, then cast. The mode you picked determines the size and style of the explosion that follows.

Practical tips

• Aim at open ground, not at your own position, unless you want the blast centered on you.
• Test in a creative or empty world first so you understand the blast radius of each mode.
• Keep distance from the impact point; the cinematic modes cover a wide area.
