Nautilus Armor Locations

Nautilus armor is rare ocean-themed gear found only in loot chests—you cannot craft it. Search shipwrecks and buried treasure chests in ocean biomes. These pieces offer high body protection and can be upgraded to netherite at a smithing table later.

Bring a boat or swim with water breathing potions to explore ocean structures efficiently. Check multiple wrecks if your first attempts yield nothing; loot is randomized.

Horse Armor in the Nether

Horse armor pieces spawn in Nether fortresses and ruined portals. Explore these structures and loot all chests you find. Horse armor is purely decorative on horses and cannot be worn by players, but it's part of the mod's loot system.

Using Found Gear

Once you obtain nautilus armor, equip it immediately—it's stronger than diamond armor. If you find pieces you don't need, you can smelt them back down into ingots at a blast furnace to recover materials. Plan ahead: if you're heading to the Nether soon, consider upgrading nautilus pieces to netherite at a smithing table before venturing out.
