Crafting the Spear

The obsidian spear is a unique weapon added by this mod. Like all obsidian tools, it follows standard Minecraft crafting patterns—arrange obsidian ingots and sticks in the typical spear shape at a crafting table. No special recipes needed.

Combat Performance

The spear excels at dealing knockback and damage to enemies. It's particularly effective against mobs that swarm you, as the knockback keeps them at distance. Use it for both PvE and general combat situations where you want crowd control.

Durability and Repair

Your obsidian spear will eventually wear out. Repair it at a grindstone or anvil using obsidian ingots. Alternatively, combine two damaged spears at an anvil to create one fully repaired spear, though this costs experience.

Pairing with Armor

The spear works best when you're wearing full obsidian or nautilus armor for consistent protection. Hold a shield in your off-hand for additional defense while still being able to thrust with the spear. This combination gives you excellent survivability in extended combat.
