Hide a Message in a Book
Writing Secret Text in Books
Books are perfect for hiding longer messages using the Nyctography font. When you write in a book and apply the secret font, readers will see only dots and lines instead of normal letters.
Steps
1. Craft or find a book and quill
2. Open the book and write your message normally
3. Sign and close the book
4. Use the command: /bookshelf font item nyctography:nyctography while holding the book
5. Your book's title will now display in the secret font
Making the Content Secret Too
To hide the actual pages inside the book, you'll need to use commands when creating it. Use /give with a custom name and the nyctography font applied. The pages themselves won't automatically convert, but the book's title becomes your coded message.
Tips for Puzzles
Remember that numbers convert to consonants (0 becomes Z, 1 becomes B, etc.), so readers must decode these. Use the special symbols: dash (-) for "The", ampersand (&) for "And", and hashtag (#) before number sequences to signal they're reading encoded digits. This makes your puzzle more challenging and authentic to the secret writing system.
