Displaying Secret Symbols on Banners

Banners are the most visual way to show Nyctography messages. Each banner displays a single character in dots and lines, so you can arrange multiple banners to spell out words or create decorative messages.

Crafting and Applying the Pattern

1. Craft a Nyctography banner pattern using paper and dye, or buy one from a wandering trader

2. Place a banner (any color) in a Loom

3. Add the Nyctography pattern to the Loom

4. Select your desired character from the pattern options

5. Craft the banner—it will now display that secret symbol

Building Your Message

Repeat this process for each letter you want to display. Arrange the banners in a line or grid on your wall. Use contrasting colors (like magenta symbols on black banners) to make the dots and lines clearly visible from a distance.

Design Tips

Consider your audience's familiarity with the font. Beginners may need a reference guide nearby. Group related words together with spacing. Banners work well for titles, riddles, or decorative warnings in your base.
