How to Keep Separate Notes for Different Worlds and Servers

Understanding Note Scope

Notes Mod saves notes in three ways: tied to a singleplayer world, tied to a specific multiplayer server, or global. This means the same note does not automatically appear everywhere. Understanding scope prevents confusion when a note seems to vanish after you switch worlds.

Choosing the Right Scope

When you create a note, decide what it is for. Coordinates of your base, plans for a specific build, or a list of tasks for one world should be saved to that world. Server rules, trade offers, or coordinates on a particular server should be saved to that server. Things like mod keybinds, general tips, or a universal to-do list are best saved globally so they follow you everywhere.

Keeping Things Tidy

If you play on several servers, name your notes clearly so you can tell them apart at a glance. Avoid saving everything globally, because the list will grow and become hard to scan. Periodically open the GUI and delete notes for worlds or servers you no longer play on. If you want a reminder visible at all times, pin it, but keep pinned notes limited to the few that are actually useful in the moment.
