Locating Amber Mosquitos

Amber Mosquitos spawn in specific underground cave biomes: Lush Caves, Deep Dark, and Dripstone Caves. These insects are found in the Overworld, not Pangea, making them accessible early in your playthrough. Explore cave systems thoroughly to find them.

DNA Types from Mosquitos

When you defeat an Amber Mosquito, it drops one of four DNA types depending on the cave biome:

• Lush Caves: Plant DNA
• Deep Dark: Fungus DNA
• Dripstone Caves: Water DNA
• Other biomes may yield Animal DNA

Finding Giant Fleas

Giant Fleas also inhabit cave systems and drop valuable genetic material when defeated. They serve as an alternative source of DNA for your prehistoric research.

Using Collected DNA

Once collected, use your DNA in the Paleopedia or other mod crafting systems to research prehistoric creatures and unlock new abilities. Store DNA safely in your inventory or storage containers for future use in taming or crafting ancient weapons and tools.
