How to Tell If Noisium Forked Is Actually Improving Your Worldgen Performance

What to Look For

Noisium Forked does not add blocks, items, or commands, so there is nothing new to see in-game. Its effect shows up as smoother chunk loading and fewer freezes while terrain, caves, and biomes generate. The clearest sign is that exploring new areas feels less choppy than before, especially in modded worlds with complex biome and cave generation.

A Simple Before-and-After Test

1. Pick a repeatable route, such as flying in a straight line for a set distance in a fresh area, and note how often the game stutters.

2. Make sure the mod is enabled, then repeat the same route in a new world with the same seed and settings.

3. Compare the two runs. If the second run has fewer pauses and the terrain looks the same, the optimization is doing its job.

4. Check that terrain, caves, and biomes still match what you expect. The mod should not change world shape, only the speed of generating it.

5. If you use a profiler or performance overlay, look at worldgen-related time during chunk generation. A drop there while terrain stays consistent confirms the mod is active.

When It Will Not Help

If your lag comes from entities, redstone, or rendering rather than worldgen, this mod will not fix it. It only targets noise calculations used during generation, so pair it with other performance mods for those areas.
