Understanding What No Refresh Scroll Mod Changes (and What It Does Not)
What Actually Changes
The mod makes exactly one behavioral change: pressing the refresh button on the multiplayer server selection screen no longer scrolls the list back to the top. Everything else about the screen works the way it always has.
What Stays the Same
- The refresh button still re-pings every server in the list.
- Server statuses, player counts, and latency indicators update normally.
- Adding, editing, deleting, and joining servers work as before.
- The list still scrolls normally when you drag the scrollbar or use the mouse wheel.
What It Does Not Do
- It does not add a search box, sorting, or server grouping.
- It does not change how servers are stored or how the list is ordered.
- It does not affect singleplayer, the pause menu, or any other screen.
- It does not require any settings or keybinds.
Why the Change Is Useful
The vanilla scroll reset exists because the refresh routine rebuilds the list, and the rebuilt list starts at the top. This mod preserves your scroll offset across that rebuild. The result is a small but constant quality-of-life improvement for anyone with more servers saved than fit on one screen.
If you ever want the old behavior back, you would simply remove the mod — there is nothing to toggle in-game.
